It is all too easy to neglect your teeth and many people will trot out the same old lame excuses such as they do not have time to visit a dentist in Toronto or they cannot afford to visit one or they cannot get the time off work or even that they are scared of visiting the dentist.
But people who avoid taking care of their teeth are doing themselves no favours. They are more likely to get diseases of the gum if they do not visit the dentist on a regular basis and suffer from toothache which could be so easily cured.
It is also so important to brush your teeth and floss on a regular basis. Children should be brought up from an early age understanding that dental hygiene is a core part of life and that they should brush their teeth twice a day.
Diet is also an important factor in having a healthy smile as too many people snack on sugary food such as chocolate, biscuits and fizzy drinks. They do not realise the harm that they are doing to their teeth and this coupled with not brushing or flossing your teeth often enough can lead to disaster.
Teeth should last you throughout your whole life, so it makes sense that you should take care of them as best you can.
